el espíritu navideño

My Christmas Tree
This was the first normal school week we’ve had in the month of November, and consequently, it felt really long.  No complaints though.  I had lots of time to teach, and I enjoyed almost every minute of it.  My favorite part was Social Studies class with Kevin and Kristian.  Since we've missed so many classes due to absences and days off, we're still wrapping up our election unit.  We had an interesting discussion on Wednesday about political platforms and Biblical values.

Okay, I do have one complaint about the week.  Part of the reason it felt so long was because my arch enemies (a.k.a. coquí frogs) kept me awake—and when I finally fell asleep woke me up—each night.  I spent some nights coquí hunting on my porch, and others just staring at the ceiling when I should have been asleep.  Anyway, it made for a tired week.

And then the weekend finally came.  Happy December!  It was rainy and cool…perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit.  I think I kicked off the month in good style—I slept in way too late, went Christmas shopping, and wrapped presents while listening to lots of Christmas music!
