My first attempt at driving in Puerto Rico...
Betsy filled my minivan tires with air and we all climbed in. I felt a little nervous--I've seen some pretty daring stunts on the roads in my short time here already. My staff reassured me from the back seat as I backed away from the shed. I shifted the green van to drive--and we were on our way!
Four hours--and a trunk full of bags--later, we arrived safely at the school with no new scratches on the van! I breathed a sigh of relief as my colleagues congratulated me for a job well done.
So today I thank God that He enabled me to conquer Highway 3 in the sun, the rain, and the dark.
...and then I wonder if that is really such a good thing...I guess I'm going to have to do this again!
